Blogger’s convention…
… At AUB this friday 3rd of december 2010.
I attended the convention with my LAU social class. We got to meet many bloggers, mostly from Lebanon and they talked about how they started their blog and what their blogs were about.
Imad Bazzi, mostly talked about online activism. I was impressed by his work and how he started his blog. He’s a very interesting person and very challenging. He said one thing that I totally agree on : Freedom of expression does not exist! His blog is mostly about criticizing the lebanese society and its politics.
His blog contains many articles and videos. He is determined to make some changes and is not afraid to do so. He was arrested several times because of some articles he posted on his blog but never stopped.
“I can criticize as long as I’m not insulting someone in specific. You should have limits” he said. Check out his blog ===> trella.org
Other bloggers were Meedo Taha and Loryne Atoui. Their blogs mostly consist of recipes, fashion and many other themes. There blogs are mainly for entertainment.
their presentation were very lively and entertaining.
Another blogger was Johnny el Hage, an LAU graduate who told us how he started his blog. He had no experience whatsoever when it came to blogging. He used to post things on his blog every once a month but then realised that sharing is healthy. That’s when he decided to become more active in blogging.
